Hardly a day goes by without news stories about "Passive Houses," Passivhaus" or "Zero-Energy Housing," from every corner of the globe. What used to be a rare topic of interest (to a somewhat nerdy minority of architects and tree-huggers) has seemingly become quite mainstream of late — an encouraging sign for the wellbeing of our threatened planet.
